We have been members of NACA (National Association for Campus Activities (www.naca.org) for five years. NACA is an organization that brings talent such as bands, comics and performance groups together with college and university entertainment buyers.
You see, most colleges have a huge budget for entertainment and activities. Usually, there’s a student run organization (like CAB or SEC) that has booking power. These students can bring ANY kind of entertainment that interests them to their campus. Here is a link to a list of our past and current clients.

Every year, in seven regions across the United States, NACA holds entertainment buying conferences in the fall (see link above and dates below). At these conferences, the students (about 1500 of them) watch talent showcases. In the last five years Fly by Night Entertainment has had ELEVEN acts showcase. In these showcases, performers get 20 minutes to make a positive impression and rock the house. After the showcases, the students then go to the trade show to book the acts they liked. At the trade show, there are about 200 agents and self-represented talent waiting for students to book them or the talent they represent. It’s very cut throat and very, very expensive.

NACA is very expensive to join and participate in. The list of fees include:

There is no guarantee that you will be showcased! But, NACA makes you pay for your membership and trade show booth BEFORE the showcase selections are ever made, and they keep all of your money even if you don't showcase! 

In the last few years we have had literally hundreds of bands and comics send us promotional material. Many of these very talented performers wanted to be considered for representation and for a chance at a NACA showcase. There were just too many excellent and talented performers to choose from. We decided that the only way to be fair was to open it up to everyone and let the selection committee at NACA decide.

Last year, Fly by Night Entertainment submitted 15 different acts to NACA in 4 regions:

Of those performers NACA passed all of them onto the lottery system except 2!

1 copy of Biography

2 Videos,DVDs, or CD’s of your performance

$150 (per region)

Your Desired Booking Price

WE will edit and prepare your entire promotional package, fill out all applications and send them in to NACA.

WE pay all the membership and booth fees!

WE will keep you informed of the status of your materials.

There is still no guarantee that you will be showcased! This is a selection prosess and random lottery done by NACA. But, we are offering you just as good a chance of getting showcased as the performer or agent who has paid over $1000 in various fees to maybe, possibly get showcased!  That is a huge risk! We are offering you the perfect opportunity to get into a NACA showcase without the overwhelming financial risk!

If you are selected to showcase, and only if showcased, Fly by Night Entertainment will represent you at our booth in the trade-show and exclusively in the college market. You will only have to pay for the performance fee ($250) This includes professional stage, sound, lights and a 20min showcase.

Again, your $150 buys you just as much of a chance as the guy who paid over $1000!
